Studio Policy

Class Reservations 

To reserve a spot in a class, you must first purchase a single class, a package of sessions, or a monthly membership. You can sign up through Joyful Movement Therapy Website by using your email and creating a password, or if you are already registered, click login to buy a session, session package, or enroll in monthly membership and make your reservation for your desired class.

Class Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your reservation without charge up to 12 hours before the start of your planned lesson. Joyful Movement Therapy has a strict 12-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel with less than 12 hours notice, both members and non-members will be charged a $15 late cancellation fee. You will not lose your one class credit.

 

Class No Show Policy

If you are unable to attend class, please try to cancel as soon as possible so that another client can take your spot. If you do not cancel your class, you will be charged a $20 No Show fee, whether you are a member or not. You will not lose your one class credit.

 

Class Lateness Policy

To keep our customers safe and the class flow moving, clients are only allowed to enter 5 minutes after a class begins. To guarantee a spot, please arrive 5 minutes early. After that 5-minute limit has passed, your slot may be allocated to a client on standby if you are not present promptly at class start time.

 

Waitlist Policy

If a space becomes open in class up to 1 hour before the start time, our system will automatically add you to it. The standard cancellation policies are in effect. If you know you won't be able to make it to class, remove yourself from the waitlist 12 hours ahead of time to avoid late cancellation penalties. When you are added to a class from the waitlist, you will receive an email or text message confirming your enrollment.


Private and Duet Session Expiration Policy

Private sessions and special group classes do have a time limit. Private sessions and Group Classes expire 30 days from the date of purchase. The number of sessions or classes you can book each month will depend on the package you choose. Private and Duet sessions do not roll over to the next month if not used. Clients will not receive a credit for any sessions not booked within 30 days.

Private and Duet Sessions have a 12 hour cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule, cancel, or miss your session with less than 12 hours notice, you will be charged for the full cost of the session or one will be deducted from your package.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Late Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will result in loss of credit.

 

Extension Policy

We do not allow any extensions of your existing packages. You must use your classes in your given package time period.

Inclement Weather

Late cancellation due to inclement weather will be excused. Please call 919-617-6498, or email joyfulmovementtherapy@gmail.com to let us know you will not be able to attend. Class cancellations due to inclement weather will always be reflected in the Online Scheduler.

Courtesy Policies

Please be courteous and quiet while sessions are in progress

We kindly ask that you turn off your cell phone before starting your session to prevent interruption to you and others. 

Wear comfortable workout clothes and grip sock for your safety.

Gift Cards 

You can purchase a gift certificate in addition to lessons and class bundles. Gift vouchers from Joyful Movement Therapy are referred to as "gift cards." Gift cards never expire, and the recipient can use them to purchase classes or items of any type. When you buy a class using a gift card, it expires just like any other class you buy. 

DISCLAIMER: Gift cards and classes are not the same thing. Classes, unlike gift cards or certificates, are only valid for in-studio pilates classes. You cannot give classes as a gift to another person. When you purchase a class, you are only allowed to use it to reserve a time slot in our studio at 10941Raven Ridge Rd #113, Raleigh, NC. You cannot exchange your class for cash or transfer it to another person.
